REAP training on Survey Protocol and Village Household Questionnaire

The Rural Economy Advancement Program (REAP) as part of the targeted poverty reduction programme in the 10th Plan, aims to reduce extreme poverty in the country by stimulating sustainable and equitable economic growth in the poorest villages.

Under REAP Phase II, key socio-economic and poverty related data in 100 villages throughout the 20 Dzongkhags will be collected, with the help of enumerators. Around 62 enumerators were trained from 1-2 September, 2010 on Survey Protocol and Village Household Questionnaire. The enumerators will be collecting data in 8 Dzongkhags from 6-19 September 2010 and the rest of the Dzongkhags will be covered later.
