The Economic Forum on “Macroeconomic Challenges and Policy Options for Bhutan”  

The Economic Forum on “Macroeconomic Challenges and Policy Options for Bhutan” was organized by UNDESA, UNDP Country Office and Gross National Happiness Commission Secretariat on 29th May, 2012.It provided a venue to share perspectives and contributions of international experts and an open dialogue with key stakeholders within the Government, the private sector,non-governmental organizations and academia. Dr. Hamid Rashid, Sr. Advisor,
Macroeconomic Policy division at UN-Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), New York presented the report on “Understanding the causes of Rupee Shortfall” at the forum. The forum was attended by more than 160 participants.
