The 4th Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) Meeting on GoI’s Project Tied Assistance to Bhutan in the 10th Five Year Plan (FYP) was held on Monday, 26th of November, 2012 at Terma Linca Resort in Thimphu.
The PMC as a formal forum between the two Governments was established in October, 2004 for reviewing the progress of GoI project-tied assistance in Bhutan’s Five Year Plans. The RGoB delegation was led by the Secretary of the GNH Commission and includes senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the GNH Commission. The GoI delegation was led by Mr. Puneet R. Kundal, Director (North) of the Ministry of External Affairs and comprises of senior officials from the Ministry of External Affairs and Embassy of India, Thimphu.
The meeting inter alia, discussed on the urgency to expedite the release of GoI fund on time and also highlighted on the need for re-prioritization of major projects. During the duration of their stay in Thimphu, the delegation also visited PTA projects sites of National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Royal Institute of Management, Royal Institute of Health Sciences and College of Natural Resources.
The GoI delegation left for New Delhi on the 27th of November, 2012.
