The purpose of the Bhutan Prime Minister’s Fellowship would be to provide a platform for aspiring young leaders to experience first-hand high-level public policy making in the Royal Government and an opportunity to experience Bhutan’s governance culture and participate in development policy formulation at the highest level.
What can the Bhutan Prime Minister Fellow expect?
The fellow will work under the direct supervision of the GNHC Secretary. The fellow will have the opportunity to attend GNHC meetings and frequent interaction with the Prime Minister. Some optional activities may include attending selected cabinet meetings to experience decision making at the highest level as well as interaction at the local levels. The fellowship will also entail travel around the kingdom. At the end of the program, the individual is expected to return to his/her job with increased sense of awareness of public policy making and enhanced leadership qualities.
Except with prior written consent of the GNHC, the fellow shall not at any time communicate to any person or entity, any information deemed confidential acquired as a result of his/her engagement in the program. Further, the fellow shall also not make public, the recommendations formulated in the course of, or as a result of the program.
