Mr. S Koventhan, First Secretary (Economic and Commerce), Embassy of India handed over cheques amounting to Nu. 1861.749 million for GoI Project Tied Assistance projects to Mr. Rinchen Wangdi, Director, GNH Commission on 23th April 2018.

This release of funds of worth Nu. 1861.749 million pertains to (1) Up-gradation of Wangdue-Chuserboo road (2) Up-gradation of Trongsa-Chuserboo road (3) Up-gradation of Yadi-Lingmethang road (4) Construction of Royal Institute of Law and  (5) Expansion of Paro Airport.

Government of India has committed Nu. 45,000 million in the 11th FYP to Royal Government of Bhutan. The detail break-up of the commitment are: Nu. 28,000 million for Project Tied Assistance (PTA), Nu. 8,500 million for Program Grant (PG) and Nu. 8,500 million for Small Development Projects (SDP). As on date, Government of India has released Nu. 23,386.388 million for GoI PTA projects, Nu. 8,075 million for Program Grant and Nu. 8,001.475 million for SDP to RGoB. In total, GoI has released Nu. 39,462.863 million to RGoB which is 87.70 % of total committed allocation in the 11th Five Year Plan Period.
