Workshop on Developing Benchmarks for the SAARC Development Goals

A two-days workshop was held in Paro on developing the benchmarks for the SAARC Development Goals (2007-2012). The workshop was attended by representatives from all the government agencies and from UNCT (as observers). During the two days, the participants deliberated on the baseline year and the benchmarks available. The Local Development Division has procured 21 computers for distribution to gewogs of Dagana, Lhuntse, Punakha and Wangdue, from the AA4 project.The LDD is organizing basic computer operating training for the Gedrungs and Gewog Administrative officers of above gewogs (gewogs receiving computers). The Gedrungs of Paro and Trongsa are also included in the training.
