PRESS RELEASE-RGoB and UN collaboration strengthened for UN support for the 10th Five Year Plan
The first annual Joint Country Programme Board meeting between the Royal Government and the UN system in Bhutan was held in Thimphu on 5th March 2009. Progress on REAP Program
GNHC conducted the first REAP stakeholders’ workshop on 4th March, 2009 to present the findings of the field surveys and recommended interventions to secure sustainable livelihoods in the 10 targeted villages. PROGRESS ON THE REAP
GNHC has completed conducting field research to come up with a comprehensive situation analysis of the ten selected poorest villages under the Rural Economy Advancement Program (REAP) to identify possible interventions to enable the targeted communities to secure sustainable livelihoods & enhance income generating capacity. GNHC Conducts Induction Course for the Second Batch of GAOs
The GNHC conducted the induction course for the second batch of GAOs from 24th December, 2008 to 9th January, 2009. The induction course was held at the RIM and was attended by 99 GAOs. The programme was funded by Helvetas through the “Support to Local Governance Project”.The induction course was conducted with the objective to equip the GAOs with basic knowledge, plans and policies to carry out their functions effectively and efficiently.
