In preparation for the second Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) meeting, a joint review of the Project Tied Assistance (PTA) projects under Government of India assistance in the 12th FYP is underway. PTA allocation of Nu. 28000.00 million is spread across 82 priority projects of the RGoB covering projects under culture, health, education, roads & bridges, water, ICT, farm roads, economic and sports sectors.
The project review meeting is attended by officials from the Embassy of India, Thimphu, Gross National Happiness Commission and the PTA project implementing sectors and agencies.
The ongoing PTA projects are reviewed to assess the progress status and issues faced during the implementation phase. The joint review of the PTA projects noted that a significant progress is made despite challenges posed by the pandemic. Out of 82 PTA projects approved in the 12th FYP, 16 are successfully completed and remaining projects are at various stages of implementation with majority projects nearing completion. All projects are expected to be complete by the end of 12th FYP.
The project review meeting commenced on 13th June 2022 and will conclude on 27th June 2022.
